Louis Drucke
Buried in Holy Cross Cemetery: Waco, Texas.
1909-1912 New York Giants.
Struck out the first three Cincinnati batters he faced on September 22, 1909. Won his first MLB game on September 29, 1909, throwing a complete game in a 6-1 win over the 106-38 Pittsburgh Pirates, holding Honus Wagner to an 0x4 day. Followed it up a week later with an 8-6 win at Brooklyn in which he walked eight batters.
Known as "The Second Mathewson," he led the NL in K/9 for the 1910 Giants, even throwing a complete game and hitting a 3-run home run on June 28, 1910. Drucke was injured in a subway accident after the 1910 season and only pitched 77.2IP in 1911 and 1912 before retiring.
